Hampton, GA. – Austin Hill swept both phases and led 146 off 163 rounds in winning Saturday’s Nascar XFinity Series race on Atlanta Motor Speedway.
This is his first win of the season and the fifth victory in seven career in Atlanta. Hill, who started second, never got worse than fourth place in the race.
His victory comes a week after he was predominant until a mechanical issue set him up. Richard Childress Racing teammate Jesse Love won that race.
Justin Allgaier finished second in Saturday’s race in Atlanta. Aric Almirola was third, Sammy Smith was fourth and newcomer Nick Sanchez was fifth.
The race was delayed by eight warnings for 49 rounds. There were 12 lead changes among seven drivers.
