Appeal panel maintains DQ of Parker Kligerman’s team after Daytona Truck Race

Corey Heim remains the winner of the Nascar Craftsman Truck Series race at Daytona after an appeal by Henderson Motorsports failed on Thursday.

Parker Kliger took the checkered flag first in the past week’s race, but his Henderson Motorsports truck failed after it was too low behind. It increased Heim to the winner of the race.

Crew head James Small has been suspended four races.

The appeal of the team was heard on Thursday.

The National Motors Sports Appeal Panel explained to maintain the fine: “The panel confirms that it is more likely than not a rules of rules, and the disqualification fines in line 10.5.2.4 necessitate a disqualification of the breed.”

The panel’s decision is final.

The panelists for the hearing were Bill Mullis, Kevin Whitaker and Tommy Wheeler.
