Daytona Beach, Fla.-Kyle Busch and Jeff Gordon were both critical of Joey Logano’s actions before a multi-car accident late Sunday night’s Daytona 500.
Eight cars were collected in the incident, which brought out the caution on the lap 187 of the 202 Round race.
The Roush Fenway Keselowski driver was unharmed after the wreckage late in the Daytona 500.
Logano dived fifth place from the upper lane to the middle lane. Ricky Stenhouse jr. Blocking and there was contact. Logano jumped off Kyle Busch’s car on the inside and then contacted Stenhouse in Ryan Blaney and Busch. Noah Gragson, Chase Elliott, Todd Gilliland and Cole Custer were also collected.
“It looks like the fastest car has been in a hurry to get to the wreck,” Busch told Fox of Logano. ‘Logano was by far the fastest car today, led many rounds and he could do everything. The Penske cars were very strong. We got another 20 rounds to go and he tried to go through the middle and make a hole that is not there. Fit chaos created. “
Busch, who wins in 20 attempts in the Daytona 500, finishes 34th.
He eludes a last round of accident to become the youngest driver with multiple victories in the Great American Race.
Jeff Gordon, vice -chairman of Hendrick Motorsports, was also critical of Logano’s actions.
When Daytona 500’s winner William Byron was asked if drivers were doing stupid stupid moves during the race, Gordon distinguished: “Joey did.”
Byron replied, ‘Yes, it is fair.

Logano, who led 43 rounds before finishing 35th, explained his move and called out Stenhouse’s block.
“From my perspective, I felt to win the race I had to get there after the second row in my line,” Logano said. “I was in third place and had to come second.
“I saw the opportunity to fall down and get under the (Stenhouse) and (Noah Gragson), another Ford, behind me. Then Stenhouse threw a late block there. I looked at it and it seemed like he would go again and grab the top lane, so I went in again to try to close the gap again, but he kept coming down.
“I look, but at that point the investigation was already behind me and everyone was over each other. I can’t get out of it and then made contact. It’s a shame. We had a good shell Pennzoil Mustang. We had a good car, but just couldn’t do it. ‘
