Pretorius made his mark at Under-19 level. In the year He is the highest run-scorer for South Africa in the 2023-24 Under-19 World Cup, with 287 runs in six matches and three half-centuries. This performance not only proved the merit, but also took South Africa to the semi-finals of the tournament.
