The third and final encounter of the ODI series between them New Zealand And Sri Lanka He ended up winning 140 runs in the islands. A strong display from the visitors with the bat and an impressive bowling display Ishan Malinga, Asita Fernando and Mahesh Tekshana. He won the victory for Sri Lanka. The trio took 3 wickets each and ultimately proved too much for the home side and ended their run chase at just 150 in 29.4 overs.
It was the only glimmer of hope for the Blackcaps. Mark Chapman. However, the dynamic opener could not do much amid little support from the other New Zealand batsmen and could not turn the Blackcaps around. However, the win is just a constellation reward for Sri Lanka as the home side won the first two matches to clinch the ODI series.
Sri Lanka looked confident from the start of the game. The visitors batted first and elected to bat. The decision was found to be appropriate Pathum Nissanka and high-order batting Where in Mendi She gave Sri Lanka a strong start. Kamindu Mendis And Janet Liang Sri Lanka’s innings was next to settle down. A knock from these Sri Lankan batsmen helped Sri Lanka score 290 runs in 50 overs.
Matt Henry He starred for the New Zealand bowling department. The ace Blackcaps pacer has taken 4 wickets for the team and completed 150 wickets in his ODI career.
In reply, the New Zealand batsmen put up a formidable show with the bat. It started with openings Will Young And Rachin Ravindra Early dismissal, leaving the Blackcaps with two wickets for 4 runs. The entire New Zealand middle order has collapsed adding more threat to the Blackcaps.
New Zealand’s lower order tried to support Chapman, the only traditional batsman, to counter the onslaught from the Sri Lankan pace attack. Chapman’s knock of 81 runs off 81 balls made him the shining armor of an already derailed New Zealand innings. However, even Chapman could not save the home side from historic humiliation as the final batting was dismissed by the Sri Lankan pacers. This is Sri Lanka’s second largest margin of victory against New Zealand in the ODI format, the largest being 189 runs in Auckland in 2007.
I’m sure somehow the loss will be Chapman’s fault and Latham will escape scrutiny for another failure. I’m pretty sure we’ll leave Chapman and Hayne out of the group, because ‘experience’… #nzvsl

Well I have been a fan of SL ever since I knew cricket. And true to their history as visiting teams overseas, I don’t give them a chance to expect this series to go beyond 6-0 in formats. So I am very happy with what you have done.#NZvSL
