The Jaguars announce that they have interviewed Steve Spagnuolo for the position of head coach

Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo has interviewed for the Jaguars head coaching position.

The Jaguars announced Friday night that they have completed an interview with Spagnuola.

Spagnuolo is considered one of the best defensive coaches in NFL history, with four Super Bowl rings as a defensive coordinator. His previous coaching experience, however, was a huge disappointment, going 10-38 in three seasons as the Rams coach. He also spent four games as the Giants’ interim head coach, going 1-3.

Spagnuolo, 65, has been the Chiefs’ defensive coordinator since 2019.
