Chris Jones and Isiah Pacheco return to Chiefs practice during their farewell

While the Chiefs won’t at least know who they’ll play in the divisional round until Sunday afternoon, they were on the practice field Friday preparing for the postseason.

Head coach Andy Reid told reporters in his post-session press conference that several players had returned to practice and were not available for Week 18, including defensive lineman Chris Jones, running back Isiah Pacheco, right tackle Juwan Taylor and defensive back Shamari Conner.

Jones (calf), Pacheco (rib), Conner (shoulder) and Taylor (knee) were all able to participate — although the Chiefs won’t release any information on participation until next week.

Cornerback Jaylen Watson (ankle), who returned from injured reserve, was also able to practice, with the Raid noting that the cornerback moved well.

Watson’s return would be important for Kansas City’s defense if it can happen.

Additionally, the Chiefs placed defensive tackle Marlon Tuipolo on injured reserve. That opens up a roster spot for Watson or receiver Mecole Hartman, who also returns from IR with a knee issue.

As the No. 1 seed, Kansas City will host the AFC’s lowest remaining seed from wild-card matchups in the divisional round.
