William Byron – Winner: “Man, how about a little fuel mileage? We had a good part of the things that did not go with fuel miles, and just very grateful to Rudy, all these guys, all the engineers, all the engineers at the store. Only this whole race team went through a lot this year. It was a lot of growth pains. It was difficult for us. But today it feels very good to win a win. Honestly, it feels like we had a good car and just chased and just tried to be there at the end, and we were, and fortunately the fuel was enough at the end. I think I just walked out there. That’s why I stopped. … Yes, I think our confidence in each other never faltered. I feel like our speed was better than it was, and that’s a big reason why we stay confident. I feel like we are working together very hard and prepared every week, arrive quickly, and yes, we only need one to go, and it did today too. Honestly, (the race) did not, but today it did. “
Chase Briscoe – second: ‘First, I just want to apologize to the 45 and 20. It was a very bone head move on my part, and came in there and got off their day and destroyed. That’s 100 percent of me. At the end, I chased William. I thought I was really in the cat bolt seat, and I just got there and had some kind of the field; There was just a little died with the repetition, but yes, a good finish for our Toyota, died there.
Brad Keselowski – third: ‘Yes, this is the way the yellow fell. We had so much yellow there at the stage three that it got the 24 and the 19 and where they could get it
On fuel, sit outside the window. And we just couldn’t get back to them. Returned by a lot of guys. We started 24th there after we planned. Touched third place, but it was as far as I could. Yes, a good run for both of our RFK cars. Obviously we want to win, but we are in conflict. That’s for sure. Watkins Glen was good for us. It was a good track for me. My teammate won there last year. Just keep putting solid runs on the board, and I feel it will come to us, and we have some strong
Ford Mustangs now. (Ryan) Blaney was really faster than he had a little newer tires. He ran us off, so I feel like I’m going to get the 19, but Blaney’s going to pass me, and it’s just a good day. Just need a few things the other way around. ‘
Ryan Blaney – Fourth: ‘I would like 20 (more rounds). I started a little further than the guys and took me longer to just get to a decent place you know, and honestly it surprised me how hard the guys sat at the end, and my car kept some kind of trucks. But then I ran a Brad, but everyone is so free. Race in general.
Ryan Preece – Fifth: “Pretty eventful. So yeah, eventful would be the word of the day. But I am super proud of everybody at rfk. Derrick and the entire group for making solid Adjustments having a little bit of luck there when that caution came out and and allowed us to child of take any. RFK. I thought if we had a bunch of restarts, we were going to be because we were so good in that third lane, but it just seemed the long run that last run was not the best thing for us.
We, but eventually I look forward to Watkins Glen, Richmond and Daytona. All three of us can still come in, and it will require a lot of perseverance and good luck, but we have quick racing cars, and we can do the work. ‘
Bubba Wallace – Sixth: ‘We had an up and day off. I was ready to just slander the whole car in the car and find out what we need to do to just wholesale it. Had our damages, had our problems, and just fought really hard to get our Camry back. “Yes, right!” It went well at the end.
Alex Bowman – Seventh: “I got the right back tires really hot on the last restart and hurt myself there. I got a bad restart. We got off in the second gear and William really delayed the pace, but I knew he was in second place too, so I thought it would go well. The number 19 (Chase Briscoe) just hammered him and started him. Job there. But in general, this band seems to be an ally.
Carson Hocevar – Eighth: “It was just another artwork by Jeff Dickerson, who wanted us to fight through adversity and come out with a good result. This is what He preached, and that is what we focused on. We were around at some point and just struggling. We could only have a good job. Able to go with a little momentum next weekend with two top 10s in a row. “
Ross Chastain – 11th: “It was a long day. The race got green for so long and then we put together a lot of warnings. It really played a role in all the different strategies. Phil and the guys worked on the car all day and we got it better and just got off 11th place next weekend. We will take it and go to Watkins Glen next weekend. ‘
Austin Dillon – 10th: ‘Top 10 for our Chevrolet. It feels like a win with the way things were going on. We had a very fast car today. Note that we are not sure. I feel like we have a top five car for sure if things played a little differently. It was an explosion out there and felt good to chase with the guys and be in the fight. “
Kyle Busch – 20th: “We started in a shortage over the weekend after going to a backup car on Saturday, and most of the day spent most of the day Sunday just for a track position in our Chevrolet. The crew chief Randall Burnett made a few racing strategy calls that brought us into the top -10 and earned some stage points, but we lost that track position in the stage 3 and struggled to turn to the front. Our Chevy couldn’t be in traffic, not even the fresh tires. Behind out there today, but didn’t have enough. ‘
Shane van Gisbergen – 31st: “We just ran for a long time and I became looser and looser. I just made a mistake and it finally bit me. We were just damaged, but the no. 88 Chevrolet team did a good job of repairing it. They got back on the front shot, but it was ultimately too damaged to get a good result. Mine, and I feel like we’re getting better and better every week.
