18 scary things night shift workers have seen

1.

“I was working the late shift as IT support in classrooms at a college. Since night classes rarely had urgent issues, we spent most of our time dealing with repairs and maintenance that couldn’t be done during the day. I’m fine with it being dark, so I didn’t usually bother turning on the lights if I just needed to do something quick on the computer. One night, around 10 p.m., I had a ticket to install a program on the teacher’s computer in the classroom I went by Dimly lit by the dim glow of the hallway light filtering through the door, and about halfway across the room, I stopped in my tracks.

“The hairs on the back of my neck stood up, and I was struck by this overwhelming feeling: I was being watched. No, not just being watched. I felt trapped.

My eyes slowly adjusted to the darkness, and then I saw them. Hospital beds. Dozens of them line the walls. In each bed, there was someone sitting and staring directly at me.

Holy shit.

“Oh, I’m sorry!” I instinctively stormed out, my heart pounding in my chest.

Then it hit me that they weren’t real. They were all just plastic dolls. I wandered into the nursing class.”
